The Fortigo Exceptions Management module automatically monitors the status of shipments. A smart alert notifies users of shipping exceptions, such as delays, failure in delivery, or in-transit changes. Exception stay "active" state until are cleared. Users can manage exceptions by assigning various states and comments to track the resolution process, i.e. who did what and when. The system can also be configured to take certain automated steps when an exception occurs.

Configurable exception type Exception types are configurable and can be grouped in general categories and sub-categories. The standard exception categories are the following:
  • Late Delivery
  • Delivery exception consisting of subtypes recipient unavailable, unknown recipient and wrong destination address.
  • In-transit exception consisting of subtypes bad weather and incorrect routing.
Configurable exception severity Each severity type is assigned a sverity from a configurable list of exception severities. The standard severity list includes informational, warning, minor, major and critical.
Exception notification When exceptions occur and automated notification can be emailed to interested parties.
Exception management Users can track the resolution of an exception by statusing it after a particular action is taken.
Exception reporting User can report on pending or past exceptions by a number of different search criteria. The data fields included in the report and the number of lines displayed can be specified by the user.
User defined search criteria Exception report search criteria include: order category (project), customer id, customer name, destination city, destination postal code, destination country, origin city, origin postal code, origin country, carrier, shipment date range, expected delivery date range, exception type, severity level, acknowledged/cleared state, acknowledged/cleared by user.
User defined report fields The user can select any of the following fields to include in an order report: acknowledged state, acknowledged by, ackowledged time, carrier, cleared, cleared by, cleared time, customer name, customer number, description, destination, exception id, order number, origin, order category (project), service level, severity, ship date, dehipment id, exception type.
Report data export Exception reports may be exported into CSV format.
