Fortigo Provides Web-Based Access to Menlo Forwarding
Added Ease of Use, Integration Now Available to Menlo Forwarding Customers
AUSTIN, Texas, USA (August 11, 2003) — Fortigo Inc., logistics cost management (LCM) software experts, today announced the groundbreaking Fortigo solution now includes complete integration with Menlo Worldwide Forwarding, previously known as Emery Forwarding, one of the world's leading freight forwarders.
Fortigo's existing customers welcome the new integration with Menlo/Emery. "Saberex uses multiple transportation providers and has a very diverse set of shipping requirements," said Steve Savage, senior division manager at Saberex, one of Fortigo's customers. "We require a logistics platform that is carrier-neutral, but that does not sacrifice anything in terms of functionality or visibility. Fortigo gives us that."
"Fortigo provides Menlo Forwarding customers an easy and affordable way to incorporate our extensive collection of shipping data into their own internal systems," said David Parker, senior IT manager at Menlo Forwarding. "This helps us provide better customer service by adding visibility, streamlining shipping processes, and tightening integration."
Fortigo built its name by providing enterprises with significant logistics operations a single, Web-based view of multiple carriers' shipments. By integrating into a single package an assortment of features — including business rules, visibility, and performance monitoring — previously found only in a wide variety of disparate solutions, Fortigo offers enterprises a simple and cost-efficient way to streamline costs and manage inventory.
"When you're processing and managing huge numbers of shipments, simplicity and integration count," noted Parker.
